Milton Choral Association

The Milton Choral Association (MCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the educational enrichment of chorus students at Milton High School. The MCA works to facilitate, support, and promote choral activities to the Milton High School community of faculty and staff, students and families. The MCA is the way for family and friends of the singer to support the Milton Choral Program.

Anyone may join the MCA, including family, friends, neighbors, and community members, and each year there are several different avenues to give to the Choral Association as you see fit. Our goal is to have every family join the Milton Choral Association at some level.

MCA Financial Support

While we in the Milton community are grateful for all county support, funding from the Fulton Board of Education only covers the basic requirements of a choral program. The MCA leads a number of fundraising efforts, in concert with the students and Director of Choral Activities, which allow us to maintain the highest caliber of choral education at Milton.

The Milton Choral Association is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible. All funds raised are used directly and entirely for students and choral program activities.

Some examples of past chorus program activities supported by MCA fundraising include the Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) registration fees, transportation, music, and other instructional materials; supplies for student’s fall retreat; end-of-year banquet costs (we pay for all students to attend); judging fees; concert accompanists and orchestral collaboration.

How can I get involved?

Participate in a Fundraiser!

Each year Milton students participate in a number of fundraisers to raise support from the community. Not only do these fundraisers function as the cornerstone to allow the MCA to provide a high-quality program experience each year but in some cases, students are able to offset large portions of their program expenses. Information about our fundraisers is given out yearly. Subscribe to the MCA newsletter to stay informed of opportunities to support the Milton Chorus singers.

Yearly fundraising opportunities:

Coupon Cards: Our main fundraising efforts are through the annual fundraiser with GameDay Marketing. Every fall the students sell $20.00 coupon card booklets with a value of over $300.00 in savings at local businesses. This fundraiser generally runs from the end of August through Labor Day.
Casa Nuova: Every year, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving Break, Casa Nuova hosts a fundraiser to support Milton Chorus. Customers who make any purchase (dine-in, take-out, gift cards, etc.) will have a portion of their check donated to MCA. As a thank you, Milton Chorus students perform a selection of winter and holiday pieces during the evening dinner hours. Tables go fast, so make sure to make a reservation in advance.
Peach and Pork Chop Dinner Raffle: Join us in the Spring for the Peach and Porkchop Dinner Raffle. For $20.00 you can be entered to win a three-course meal for six at Peach and the Porkchop. Adult beverages are included bringing the total value of this dinner to over $300.00. All money raised goes to defray student travel expenses for the Spring Trip.

Become a Patron!

The MCA Patron Program is a chance for families, alumni, and members of the Milton High School community at large to support the singers of Milton Chorus. MCA Patron members receive program perks such as name recognition in our concert programs, Milton Choral merchandise, select performance recordings, and premium reserved seating at choral concert performances. Our goal is 100% participation at any level from current student families.

Become a Business Sponsor!

While Fulton County covers a portion of program expenses, additional funding is needed to defray expenses such as meals, music and travel expenses. In order to fill in that gap, MCA began looking to the surrounding community. Business sponsorships are an opportunity for members of the community to partner in the support of Milton High School students while also promoting their business to MCA audiences. Volunteer!

Give your time - as a volunteer-led organization, the Milton Choral Association is always looking for interested parents, family, or friends to step up and help the program - opportunities are available on MCA committees, as chaperones, to help with snacks and logistics, or set up and take down at chorus events.
